I did not wake up to the bright sun today. Instead, I woke up to the sound of the rain… looks like we are not going to the beach today…
I spent one hour on the balcony enjoying the view and at the same time, I hoped that it would stop raining… it didn’t. I ate my breakfast (pancit canton) on the veranda and I just embraced the view (with the rain!).
The TV wasn’t working… again (this happened several times throughout the last few days).
Once it did start working again (and hopefully keeps working), I took a walk throughout the city in the rain. Stopped by the shops, and checked out some massage parlors so I can have a massage.
While walking, I managed to take some photos on the Go Pro because I didn’t want to wet my phone…
I finally found a good massage place that offers an oil massage. I ended up getting a half an hour oil massage. I was pretty satisfied with it considering all the walking I have done for the past 3 days.
Since going to the beach was out of the question, I wanted to be close to some ocean view. After I had my massage, I just continued walking as far as I could go. I ended up walking through a restaurant (with good looking decor) to go close to the ocean… the view was as always, beautiful.
After our short little tour, we decided that we would just eat lunch at the house. However, I was craving dessert! So the next stop was “Yum Yumz” (they put the yummy in your tummy – did not make that up, that’s there slogan before y’all cringe!). I had a waffle with chocolate and ice cream. My 5 minute cravings were definitely satisfied.
Waffle with chocolate and peanut butter ice cream!
Soon enough, I took the bus back to the apartment, because I still had to get ready for bible study later on. I made myself some Pho (the 5 minute instant one), and since there was no channels I liked on the TV, I just watched the view through the window.
After 4pm, we got picked up to go to Blacksands for bible study. I was loving the views on the way there… (yeah I love the views way too much)…
We arrived at the villages and the first thing I noticed were the tiny (adorable puppies).
After the Bible Study, I got to speak with many of the little kids… they are so adorable!
On the way back to the apartment, I rode on the trunk of the truck for the first time in my life. We made a stop to the supermarket to buy some water and even took some selfies and photos of the views while I was at it….
Since it was still a bit early in the evening, my dad and I decided on having some ribs for dinner. It wasn’t that hot and it wasn’t raining anymore so we decided to walk it.
The sunset was beautiful, and by the time we arrived at the restaurant (which took what felt like an hour to walk there), it was already dark and it also felt late as well…
So I had some ribs and French fries and they were sooooo good! My 1 hour cravings were satisfied…
And that pretty much wraps up a relaxing day….. fingers crossed the rain doesn’t ruin the other plans I have to explore this beautiful country…
After all that walking I did for the past few days, I realised something…
Each day, I did more walking than what I would do in 1 week in Australia….
