taking small steps to progression!

week in my life: law graduate, pre-admission

March 10, 2025

Countdown to getting admitted!

Welcome to my first Week in My Life blog post for 2025! If you’re new to this blog, I typically do a week-in-my-life blog post every quarter because I love looking back on them. You can check out my 2024 week in my life’s blog posts at the end.

Where am I now? In my recent week in my life blog post, I was doing an internship/placement, as the final requirement before applying for admission. I am now working full-time at a law firm and will get admitted as a lawyer a few days after writing this blog post.

How have routines been lately?

Since I work full-time, I work from 9 to 5, Monday to Friday.

Just like the other week in my life blog posts, I will explain what each day typically looks like. It doesn’t look the same every week as I prefer to have a variety of things going on. That’s why, these are my fixed activities.

Monday

I am currently working from 9 to 5 on Monday. I usually don’t have any fixed activities after work. So, that is when I am most free to plan catch-ups, go to networking events, solo dates, at-home solo dates, church things, and pretty much anything.

  • 5:00am – wakeup, morning habits
  • 6:00am – leave house for the train station
  • 6:00am-6:40am – train ride to the city while I do my content work
  • 6:40am-7:40am – arrive in the city, then do some more content work
  • 7:40am-8:15am – morning walk in the city
  • 8:15am-9:00am – freshen up, have breakfast, post some content
  • 9:00am-5:00pm – work
  • 5:00pm onwards – finish up content tasks, then any activities planned for the day

Tuesday

Tuesday is also the full 9 to 5. The only fixed commitment I have afterward is church in the evenings.

  • 5:00am – wakeup, morning habits
  • 6:00am – leave the house for the train station
  • 6:00am-6:40am – train ride to the city while I do my content work
  • 6:40am-7:40am – arrive in the city, then do some more content work
  • 7:40am-8:15am – morning walk in the city
  • 8:15am-9:00am – freshen up, have breakfast, post some content
  • 9:00am-5:00pm – work
  • 5:00pm-6:00pm – train ride back, do content work, church
  • 6:00pm onwards – church

Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday

Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday are also my full 9 to 5. It’s the same schedule as Monday.

Saturday & Sunday

Saturdays are when I have choir practice, church, and other church activities. Sunday is a completely flexible day.

While Saturday I get pretty busy with church activities, Sundays change from time to time. I either have a bunch of activities going on, or I have some rest. Either way, I fit in my weekly reset routine somewhere in the day to set myself up for the week.

To Wrap Up

The next time I do a week in my life blog post, I’LL BE A LAWYER!! I’m honestly so excited.

In the meantime, I have many resources to help with your personal growth in the Free Resources Library including a habit tracker, weekly reset mini guide, and a mini e-book to help with your productivity!

See you next time xo

-Lauren 🙂
