Instead of being woken up by an alarm, I got woken up by the sun through my window.
The view was as usual, breathtaking. I took photos yet again, but I began to feel how hot it is.
In the morning, I made my way to the pool only to admire views again. I had the opportunity to try my Go Pro underwater (yeah, underwater selfies were an EPIC FAIL!).
Just after, I got myself ready for another day of walking. Here are some of my favourite pics….
The first stop was the mall. On the way, I saw this shop called “Pizza Hot” which had the same design logo as Pizza Hut… I found that quite funny…
When I got to the mall, I got a top up on the pocket wifi (since the wifi is super slow in the apartment). My legit reaction upon seeing the inside of the mall… “that’s it?”. It had two floors but the second floor was mainly the movie theatre. My dad suggested to watch Justice League, but I did not want to spend my time in Vanuatu watching a movie I could easily watch back home…
Once I got my top up, I was able to tour the tiny mall and eventually continued walking into the city…
Before we could do anything else, I wanted to have lunch first. Since I was craving for a hot dog, we made our way to an American style diner called “Jill’s Cafe”. I had a delicious “Earthquake Chili Dog” and a chocolate and mint thickshake… I didn’t order fries this time because I knew that I wouldn’t even finish it…
Right after, we began walking through the beach boardwalk and made stops to the tours shop, the crafts market, and the fruit market. At the fruit market, we got some pineapples (pre cut) and papayas. I had some of the pineapple while walking, it was refreshing….
Next, we made our way back to the apartment. I walked through the boardwalk again and on the way stopped by the Vila Mall. I thought that after all that walking, I could use a break in an air con mall… but instead it was all just shops, no actual indoor area.
Finally, we got back to the apartment, took a “nap”, and just relaxed. By the time I woke up, it was time to go to the villages for bible study.
We took the bus to the Laken Village for bible study and we again had to go down that hill. The bible study itself was good, and I was able to go and interact with the little kids again.
Once the bible study finished, we ended the night eating dinner at the Coconut Palms hotel restaurant. I had lasagna and some salad.
So that is pretty much it, aside from just going back the apartment.
There is still so much to see in Vanuatu…
