A mindset routine is a routine for your mindset right?
When I first started learning how to start a blog, I watched so many videos on how to grow it. But a repetitive pattern I always hear is to have a good mindset. Like it’s always repetitive “mindset, mindset, mindset”.
And because it’s repetitive it means that it’s important right? Exactly. I’ve learned throughout my journey of personal growth that your mindset is everything. It either makes or breaks you. Of course, you want it to be something that helps you.
This blog post is going to go through a mindset routine. This mindset routine is a routine that helps you with your mindset, which in turns helps you with your personal growth, and all other areas of your life. Think about it, if you have a healthy and positive mindset, that will help you with anything! Such as your health, your work, studies, your self-esteem, and so much more!
You will learn the three steps to a mindset routine and you’ll see how easy it is to implement into the routines you have now! This blog post is definitely for all those who feel like they don’t have time to add another routine, or just want to improve their mindset in general.
Definitely read my past blog posts on essential routines for personal growth, or habits for personal growth! My book, Small Steps to Progression also has an entire chapter on Mindset Habits which you should check out as well!
Think about how you are really going with your mindset, and where you’d like it to be. I would also love to know too! There’s that comment section there, where only I will see the comments you put!
Are you ready to dive in? I know I am!
First things first, is there anything you need?
When it comes to creating a mindset routine, you may be wondering if there is anything in particular you need.
And the answer to that is, yes!
The only thing you really need for a mindset routine is a journal! You could purchase any journal that has blank pages in it so you can write whatever you want, or you can purchase a journal with journal prompts!
Personally for me, I rather purchase something that has prompts already. Just because they are extra helpful in getting me thinking or more aware of what I need to work on.
For this mindset routine, I used the 10 Day Positive Mindset Workbook by Lucy of Minds of Jupiter! This workbook provides so many prompts throughout the day to spark inspiration, and get you thinking!
Lucy is an amazing blogger, and her blog Minds of Jupiter has so many helpful blogs on mental health, self-love, and personal growth! If you haven’t already, I definitely recommend you check out her blog!
And on top of her incredible blog, she had also created this product which I enjoyed using! I personally love journalling since it’s been a great way for me to relieve stress and anxiety. The 10 Day Positive Mindset Workbook was so helpful in starting and ending my day right. Plus this was super fun to use!
What is a Mindset Routine?
A mindset routine is pretty self explanatory – it’s a routine that helps you with your mindset. Just like any other routine, a mindset routine contains different habits to help you improve your mindset. It can help you refocus your mind to what matters most to you, and review where you’re currently at.
Plus, a mindset routine is super easy!
It contains only 3 easy steps.
And unlike a morning routine or night routine where it takes place in a particular part of the day, a mindset routine is something you do throughout the day.
A mindset routine is also something you can easily implement into routines you already have! For instance, you can implement a mindset routine to your morning routine or night routine. You can even implement it into your work and study routine.
Read more to see how this all works!
Step 1 – Morning Reflection
So where can you implement your morning reflection to? Your morning routine!
One of the first important steps in a mindset routine is to reflect in the morning!
Reflecting in the morning is extremely important because it helps you become more intentional and aware of what you need to work on during the day.
The 10 Day Positive Mindset Workbook I had used included extremely helpful prompts for this morning reflection. As I mentioned earlier, you can either get a journal with blank pages, or a journal with prompts! I personally prefer to prompts because it gives me one less thing to think about.
Step 2 – Reflect Throughout the Day
This is where you can implement the mindset routine to all your other daily routines throughout the day. Other daily routines you may have is your study routine, work routine, exercise routine, or self-care routine.
You can implement reflection prompts after completing each routine. For example, after you completed your work routine, you may decide to implement some reflection into it. Why is reflection important? Well it helps you become more aware on what you should improve on for next time, and what you’ve done well in.
Another example is with your self-care routine. You can implement reflection after you did your self-care routine. You can reflect on whether the activities you’ve done in your self-care routine had actually helped you feel refreshed and recharged.
You can just play around with how you implement them in your different routines and see what works best for you!
Step 3 – Evening Reflection
Then last but not least, we have our evening reflection! And you can implement this routine into your night routine!
An evening reflection is helpful for you to reflect on the day, and see if there is anything you could do tomorrow to make it a bit better.
Again, you can just write down in blank pages or use journal prompts to help you out. I had also used the Positive Mindset Workbook from Minds of Jupiter since it also contained some bedtime journal prompts that helped me reflect on the day.
Take a SMALL STEP
Don’t forget to take some small steps so you can apply the things you’ve learned in this blog post today!
- Get a journal – you can buy any journal from any store that sells them. You can either get a blank one, or you can get one with journal prompts already! If you want to check out the workbook that I use in my mindset routine, you can also check out the 10 Day Positive Mindset Workbook.
- Implement morning reflections into your morning routine – whether you have a morning routine in place or not, include doing reflections! To save time in the morning, you probably want to purchase a journal with prompts there already.
- Implement reflections in your daily routines – whichever routines you have during the day, implement reflection time towards the end of the routine. For example, reflections at the end of your work routine or study routine.
- Implement Evening Reflections to Your Night Routine – Then, whether you have a night routine or not, implement evening reflections into them! Take the time to reflect in the evening how your day went.
It always starts with your mindset
Pretty much everything starts with your mindset! Self-awareness and being intentional with your day is extremely important, and that’s where your mindset comes in!
That’s why went through those 3 main steps to help you formulate a mindset routine, that allows you to become more self-aware on where you’re at, and if you’re close to where you want to be.
Just don’t forget to take it easy on yourself, and remember that working on your mindset takes time. You can read the other blog posts on routines in this blog, or you can even check out my free book, Small Steps to Progression where it contains a section on mindset habits! I promise you will enjoy reading it!
