Today was a day filled with two island adventures, and another village tour…
The day started with me originally planning to go for a swim. Unfortunately, chlorine needed to be put inside the pool so I wasn’t able to swim in it. Instead, I sat on the porch watching the views, and I even noticed that the cruise ship had arrived… it was going to be crowded today…
Then just before noon, I made my way to the Hideaway Beach through the bus.
Once we arrived, we waited a bit for a ferry to come to the dock. We didn’t have to wait that long and eventually we got into the ferry. It was a fairly short ferry ride to Hideaway Island, and I used the GO Pro to document that moment…
Once we arrived at the island, I immediately took photos. While I am here, I wanted to do some snorkeling but we came a little bit late. We decided to go back to Hideaway another day when the snorkeling is available. It was time to go back on the ferry again…
Once the ferry took me back to the mainland, I checked out the mini market alongside the beach. Once I was done, I ended up taking the bus back to town.
There, I got dropped off by the bus in front of the fruit market, and just behind the fruit market was the ferry dock for Iririki Island.
I can see from the ferry that the island is very beautiful. The little huts that I see from a distance through my window back in the apartment turned out to be hotel suites.
As soon as we arrived, I waited at the reception area for a bit, before I ended up waiting outside for a bungy to go to the spa. Eventually, the driver of the bungy took me to the spa, then the sunset pool where I spent most of my time.
The sunset pool area was AMAZING! Once I found a place to sit (nice looking lounge chairs!)…. I took some photos while I had the chance.
The whole entire area was filled with different pools. I was so excited.
I ordered food first (pizza!), and drinks. While I waited for that, I swam in the pool… every pool.
After that very, very, very, good swim, I finally had my lunch… pizza! It had grilled chicken, jalapenos, barbecue sauce, mushrooms, and of course… cheese!
After I finished my food, I decided that it was time. I decided to walk back to the ferry dock to go back mainland… there was of course some views along the way!
On the way, I stopped by a mini beach…. these pictures can speak for themselves…
We finally took the ferry back to the mainland and soon enough I stopped by the fruit market to get some pineapples, and then caught the bus back to the apartment.
I only had an hour to shower and get ready to go to Blacksands for bible study.
Soon enough, we got to Blacksands where we went around the village to invite more people to the bible studies… I was able to go see some of the other villages…
It wasn’t until it was beginning to go dark that we all decided that we were done. Most people were interested in coming to the bible studies so that was an accomplishment…
We eventually rode the bus back to the apartment. We settled for a bit before deciding to walk a long distance for Chinese food. I pretty much ate the same thing…
That pretty much wraps it up. I had a good day today…
There was so much to SEA! 😉
