Oh hi!!
This is going to be very brief I promise!
Where do I start?
I guess, this is where I introduce myself? Okay, I’m going to summarise this very briefly:
Who am I?
I’m Lauren – I live in Melbourne, Australia. I just finished law school and I’m in the process of becoming a lawyer :))
But since none of you asked for a novel on my life, I’m just going to leave it at that. Although you can get to know a bit more about me through my Instagram.
Why did I create this blog?
I’ve created this blog on November 2020 as my own outlet on what I learn about while just “living through life“. I developed a big passion for personal development, self-improvement, and productivity. That’s why I thought that I’d share what I learn with others, and you can decide if you find it helpful.
Now, flash-forward to today, there is A LOT of content on here! From the many blogs that can help you make a change to your life, to my free book that you can download!
I wrote a book called Small Steps to Progression which you can read for free! It’s a self-improvement book showing you small steps to improve your life! It can be found in the Free Resource Library which contains many more resources that can help you with your personal growth!
What are the blogs about?
Just like what I have said above, the main focus of this blog is on:
- All things self-improvement…
- Personal Development
- Productivity
- Self-Care
- Habits
- Routines
- Building a better relationship with yourself – main character life, self-love, self-dates.
Most of the things I write about are inspired by some of my favorite books and podcasts.
What I do value most is sharing what I learn with others and blogging is my way to do that. However, at the end of the day, it is your choice to decide whether you are going to apply what I write about because (as cliche as it sounds), everyone’s life circumstances and situations are different (I wrote a blog post on that by the way!).
When I first launched this blog on November 2020, I didn’t want to introduce it empty-handed, so you may also find some of my travel blogs (they were on private for 3 years before I made them public the first time).
In the future when the time comes, I would love to do more travel blogs. In the meantime, I will stick with what I mostly write about… making small changes into our lives that could eventually make a big difference!
My Mission with LAURENBARRI.COM
Most importantly, my mission for this blog is to give you different tips and ways that can help you enhance your life! By enhancing your life, you become the main character of your life! Live that main character life!
In this blog, it’s all about taking steps… even if they are the smallest steps! Because most times, the small steps you take can actually make a difference! Here’s to more self-growth in small steps!

FUN FACTS About Me
Oh, you’re still here? Okay then, I’ll share some quick facts about me:
1 – I‘m a law school graduate and I’m in the final processes of becoming a lawyer. And of course, I run this blog too!
2 – I’ve always been obsessed with having my own website since I started watching iCarly. iCarly was my favorite TV show and is still my favorite TV show.
3 – My Top 5 personal development books are:
- Atomic Habits by James Clear
- Good Vibes, Good Life by Vex King
- Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Hollis
- Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff by Richard Carlson
- The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
4 – I love nature walks!! Especially when there are water views.
5 – Speaking of water, I have a weird obsession for water views. Whether they’d be ocean views, river, or lakes, I love them.
6 – I love trying out new cafes, and seeing how each cafe makes my usual coffee order (either matcha latte or mocha)
7 – I take up a Martial Art, Muay Thai Kickboxing! I love it and only started doing it because I loved doing Wii Boxing as a kid. In a way, it connects me with my inner child.
8 – I have a big travel bug.
9 – I love adrenaline activities such as scuba diving or flying.
10 – Here are my favorite self-care/self-date activities:
- Hikes – I try to do to this minimum once a month. I find it a rewarding activity because you get a pretty view in the end. lace.
- Exploring a small town – I love small towns! I love exploring it, and I just love the sense of community you feel. Doing random things and touring small towns is very fun for me.
- Visiting a new place with water – I love all water views. No comment here.
- Visiting new restaurants (even if it’s by myself) – to be honest, I’m not a fan of cooking, but I’m a big fan of trying new places.
- Watching a movie at the cinema… by myself – I find this fun because one… I don’t have to fight with anyone for a movie choice. And two, it holds my attention when watching a movie. I don’t know why, but if I’m watching a movie at anyplace that is not a cinema, I’m not going to be paying attention 😂
- Going to the arcade (as a self-date!) – I personally enjoy this because I get really competitive sometimes, and it’s a way to do a friendly competition with myself. Plus, going to the arcade brings back childhood memories.
- Going to the beach – I try to have at least one beach trip a month. I love the ocean! Even though sometimes I wouldn’t swim in the water, I love the sound of the waves and relaxing on the sand.
