In five simple steps!
I used to believe that upleveling your life meant investing a lot of money into conferences, seminars, or any new product.
However, over the years, I have learned that upleveling your life is quite simple and it doesn’t involve breaking the bank.
In this blog post, I will outline 5 simple steps to uplevel your life, and believe me… you do not have to break the bank to do these.
Let’s dive in.
Step 1: Analyse Your Habits
This involves reflecting on your daily life and the habits that are bringing you forward and holding you back.
Habits determine the trajectory and the direction of your life. That’s why it’s so important to develop good habits, so we know we’re moving forward.
Any kind of growth and success doesn’t involve a big action. Instead, it’s all in the habits you do on a daily basis.
So, the first step to leveling your life is reflecting on your habits so you know what needs changing.

Step 2: Replace the “bad” habits
Once you have reflected on your habits, let’s focus first on the habits that are holding you back.
When it comes to removing the “bad” habits in our lives, it’s not about getting rid of them completely.
Here’s the thing: the habit loop goes like this:
CUE -> HABIT -> REWARD
For example: Getting bored (CUE) -> Scroll on social media (HABIT) ->Feel entertained (REWARD)
When it comes to breaking the habit of scrolling on social media, it’s not about eliminating it completely.
Whether we like it or not, we will get that feeling of getting bored and want to feel entertained as a result.
So instead of getting rid of it completely, we replace the habit instead. This habit is to help with our feeling of getting bored and wanting to feel entertained. Like this:
Getting bored (CUE) -> reading a book (HABIT) -> feeling entertained (REWARD)
Step 3: Build the good habits
Once you have addressed the “bad” habits, it is time to build new ones. Habits that bring you forward and lead to growth.
Think about the habits you’ve seen on day-in-my-life videos on social media or books you have come across.
Just like the previous step, you will utilize the habit loop (CUE -> HABIT -> REWARD). This is the key to building a habit.
Once you have identified the cue, habit, and reward of each habit, all you need to do is do it over and over again until it becomes a part of your lifestyle.
And remember, to ensure that you maintain that consistency and not feel overwhelmed in the process, start with 1-2 habits instead of multiple at once. This will allow you to focus on those particular habits, and it’ll be easier to see what changes need to be made along the way.
Then, when you’re ready, start adding new habits.

Step 4: Build the Key Routines
Your key routines include:
Here’s why it’s important to build these routines to uplevel your life:
- Morning Routine: sets you up for the day.
- Night Routine: helps you wind down and prepare for the next day.
- Weekly Reset Routine: prepares you for the week ahead and be your most productive self.
Each individual blog post goes through how you can build the routine.
With the morning & night routine, all you need to do is compile habits that help you in the morning & night, and turn it into one routine. But of course, do this one step at a time.
Step 5: Continuous Reflection & Learning
The last step is more of a maintenance step rather than a one-off.
The truth is, growth isn’t a final destination; it’s a continuous process.
That’s why, keep learning through:
- Books – P.S I have a book on Amazon! 😉 Click here.
- Podcasts
- TikToks (the educational ones of course!)
- YouTube videos
- Blog Posts – such as my blog hehe.
And it doesn’t have to be hours and hours every day. Even 10 minutes each day can add up pretty quickly in a span of a month.
With the continuous reflection, I personally find that the best time to do this is during your weekly reset routine. It doesn’t have to take too long, even just 5 minutes can help set you up for the week ahead and ensure that you are on track with your lifestyle and all your goals.
To Wrap Up
You may have noticed that these steps didn’t include buying anything or spending money. Reflecting on your habits, building your habits, routines, and continuous learning and reflection doesn’t have to involve investing in a lot of money.
The most important part is being resourceful. You don’t have to spend big bucks to learn and grow.
I have a book on Amazon for only $11.99AUD when you purchase it as a Kindle that is 500+ pages of growth advice to become your best self :))
In the meantime, here’s to upleveling our lives.
