A little behind the scenes…
It’s currently May 2023, and I just finished the semester! Now I am on winter break which will last for a few months. That’s why I thought I’d write another week-in-my-life blog post just like this one. Only this time, I plan to focus on the daily habits I have!
You’ll get to see an insight into my week, and the daily habits that have helped me stay productive. You will learn some ideas of habits you can build and why they’re important to having a productive week. This blog post is for anyone seeking to enhance their daily life and needs some inspiration to do it (hopefully this blog post will do the trick!).
If there are any habits that are not on this list, let me know in the comments! I love trying out new habits in my lifestyle because you just never know what can help change your life! You can be as open as you’d like in the comments as I’m the only one that sees them.
Let’s dive in!
SUNDAY – Reset
- Extra sleep – Although I typically wake up around 5 am on weekdays, I tend to wake up a little later on Sundays.
- Productive Work Hours – On Sundays, I take at least 1-2 hours doing content work or basically anything that I want to catch up on. Since it’s more of a chill day, I would have the TV in the background for noise.
- Errands – As much as I can, I try to get my errands done on Sundays.
- Catch up with a friend – Lately, Sundays have been used for catch up with friends. This is not really surprising since most times it’s usually busy to catch up with anyone on the weekdays.
- Groceries & Meal Prepping – This saves me so much time and energy during the weekdays when preparing my meals. It takes a couple of hours on a Sunday, but I always thank myself later in the week.
- Weekly Reset – Basically a routine where I set myself up for the week. You can find the entire routine in this blog post.
- Self-Care Time – Depending on how I feel, I either take myself out on a date or have a chill self-care night at home. Either way, I want to feel relaxed on the Sunday night.
MONDAY – Fresh Start
- Morning Routine (5:00AM – 6:00AM) – My morning routine as of May 2023 includes reading, gratitude, and also making a tea.
- Muay Thai/Morning Workout (6:00AM-7:00AM) – Lately, I’ve been attending the morning Muay Thai classes as opposed to the afternoon ones.
- Breakfast & Get Ready (7:00AM-8:30AM) – I continue to set myself up for the day by making my breakfast, and getting dressed (even if I’m 100% working from home that day)
- Blog Work System (8:30AM – 10:30AM) – I create systems for everything I do including studies, work, and my content work. I also have a system for how I edit YouTube videos.
- Lunch (10:30AM – 11:00AM) – I save time in my lunch breaks by just heating up by already-prepared meals that I made on Sunday.
- Catch up with a friend (11:00AM – 1:00PM) – If I’m lucky, I’ll have some time to catch up with a friend on the weekday if our schedule aligns!
- Freelance Writing Work (1:30PM-3:00PM) – I dive into my freelance writing tasks where I’m either writing articles, editing them, brainstorming new ones, or doing typical admin things.
- Job Work (3:15PM-4:45PM) – I also have another part-time job where I facilitate workshops. This is where I usually do some preparation.
- Life Admin Hour (5:00PM-6:00PM) – For at least one hour (or minimum 30 minutes) every day, I do the life admin tasks such as doctor appointments, errands, or anything else I need to take care of. These are things that I tend to not schedule, so instead I schedule it as a full hour mainly to tackle those life tasks.
- Batched tasks (6:00PM-7:00PM) – This is where I do everything all-in one-time block. These include my emails, messages, and other tasks that are important but can easily be a distraction during my productive work hours.
- Themed Cleaning Day (Laundry) [in between work sessions] – I theme my cleaning days throughout the week, instead of doing them all at once. For today, it’s laundry day. I break down the sub-tasks in between work sessions (e.g. I put clothes in the washing machine in between my blog work and freelance writing work, and I put them in the dryer in between my freelance writing work and job work).
- Night Routine (9:30PM) – My night routine as of May 2023 includes wrapping up for the night, doing a 10-minute clean, organizing what I need for the next day, the typical skincare, journalling, and then falling asleep to my favorite comfort show.

TUESDAY – Balancing Work & Fun
Since I’m currently on holiday break from studies (the next semester doesn’t start for another few months), I have more time to do the hobbies and activities that I enjoy doing.
I won’t be explaining the habits I’ve already explained, only the ones that are new!
- Morning Routine (5:30AM – 6:00AM)
- Blog Work (6:00AM-8:00AM)– Since it’s getting cold to do a 6am walk (like how I have done in the summer), I do my blog work first, before going on my walk.
- Morning Walk (8:00AM – 9:00AM) – I do my morning walks after I’ve completed my blog work. By that time, it’s not too cold and dark.
- Breakfast & Get Ready (9:00AM-9:45AM)
- Freelance Writing Work (9:45AM – 11:15AM) – The tasks I do vary day by day and are based on priorities.
- Lunch (11:15AM – 11:45AM) – Usually during my lunch breaks, I watch educational YouTube videos or go on TikTok.
- Just-For-Fun Course (11:45AM – 12:45PM) – At least once a week, I like to go through a course that I do just for fun. It usually has nothing to do with what I do for work, studies, or my blog. It’s nice to mix things up a bit and learn something different once in a while.
- Batched Tasks (1:00PM – 2:00PM) – Batching all my tasks have always been extremely helpful for my productivity, and it prevents me from being distracted throughout the day.
- Themed Cleaning Day (General House Cleaning) (in between work sessions) – Today’s theme cleaning day is general house cleaning which includes vacuuming, dusting, and mopping.
- Arcade & Bowling Self-Date (2:00PM – 4:00PM) – During this week I’m writing this blog post, I did an arcade and bowling self-date. There are many things that I love to do to keep my life interesting.
- Facilitate Workshop (5:00PM-7:00PM) – Once a week, I facilitate an in-person workshop, which takes up most of my Tuesday evenings.
- Night Routine (8:00PM) – It’s great wrapping up my night.

Saturday – Rest Day
- Church
- Rest – This is the day where I get to be completely unproductive. I don’t do studies, work, or anything with content. I find that having a completely free day of all those things helps me perform better.
Take a SMALL STEP
Just remember that you don’t have to copy 100% of what I do, especially since every person will have different careers, circumstances, and situations. To make the most of your week, here are some small steps you can take:
- Build a morning routine filled with good habits.
- List your favorite movement activities.
- Develop habits for your night routine.
- List your favorite self-care and self-date activities.
To Wrap Up
Now that you have seen a current in my life, you were able to see the daily habits and routines that have had a positive impact on my productivity and well-being. I hope you were able to get some ideas of some habits you can build!
If you need some help in becoming more productive, you can check out my Free Resources Library which includes a mini e-book about progressing in your productivity! It’s extremely important to take small steps, and I talked about it in my free book, Small Steps to Progression. You’ll be able to find these resources in the Free Resource Library which you can click here.
You can do this! You can build the habits you need to get closer to where you want to be. Sometimes, just one small step at a time helps.
