Yep, this is how my week typically looks like.
While I was going through my past blog posts, I came across this blog post I wrote almost 2 YEARS AGO! It’s the Week in My Life as a Law Student, Tutor, and Blogger blog post! When I read that, I was blown away by how much has changed since then. It was also pretty cool reading about how my life was back then (it was super hectic).
That’s why I decided to write another one! I want to be able to look back at this and have that same feeling. Plus, I know that I’m not going to be a law student, freelance writer, and content creator all at the same time forever, so this will be great to look back on!
So yes, I guess you can say that this blog post is more for me to look back on… and it is! But, you get to see what life is typically like for me now.
I’ve got to emphasize that this is what a typical week looks like for me currently. Sometimes, things switch around. Sometimes, things change. Sometimes, I’ve got to move things around. Sometimes, I’ve got to eliminate things. But most of the time, this is what I try to stick to.
Sometimes I add things (like catching up with friends, attending social events, and spontaneous adventures). When you think about it, my life would be pretty boring if I had this same exact week every week.
I hope you enjoy reading this blog post and seeing a little bit of a snippet of how my life is. I’m excited to write this and read this all over again in another 2 years’ time.
Let’s dive in.
MONDAY
5:30 am – Morning Routine
The time I wake up is 5:30 am. I’ve always loved early morning wakeups because it’s the quietest time of the day. When I wasn’t living by myself, this was the only quiet time I got because everyone else would still be sleeping. Even though I live independently now, I still love my early morning wake-ups.
My go-to morning routine tasks are:
- Quick prayer
- Read a minimum of 15 pages of a personal growth book
- Journal & Affirmations
- Gratitude
I try to avoid the things that will ruin my morning routine such as going on my phone first thing, and not building small wins like those above.
6:00 am – Morning Walk
My favorite kind of workout is my morning walks. Not only does it make me physically active, but it’s also great for my mental health too.
7:00 am – Breakfast & Get Ready for the Day
After my workout, I make my breakfast. I have cereal or eggs depending on whether I feel like something sweet or savory.
While I eat my breakfast, I look on Pinterest to get inspired. I look at the vision boards I’ve created, add more pins, inspirational quotes, and read blogs!
Once breakfast is done, I brush my teeth, shower, do my skincare, and get dressed for the day!
8:00am – 9:45am – Blog Work
I’m most creative first thing in the morning, and that’s why I do my content stuff!
On Mondays, I write my blog post for the following week. After writing my blog post, I edit the next YouTube video. Once that’s completed, I do 15 minutes of monetization work (whether I work on my paid products, book, affiliates, etc) and blog promotion.
10:00 am – 11:30 am – Freelance Writing Work (Session 1)
I work as a Freelance writer so it’s another big part of my life! I break up my work sessions into 90-minute blocks. With my freelance writing, I do all tasks from admin work to the actual writing work.
11:30 am-12 pm – Lunch
On Sundays, I’ve already prepped my meals beforehand, so all I have to do is heat my food. Meal preparation saves me SO much time, and I get to enjoy my lunch.
12 pm-1:30 pm – Freelance Writing Work (Session 2) at Café!
Since I work from home, sometimes I need to switch up my environments. On this particular day, I decided to go to a café (I go to cafes a minimum once a week to do my work there!).
1:45 pm – 3:15 pm – Study Session 1 (at Dorm’s study room)
Now it’s time to study! On this day, I decided to switch my space again and use the dorm’s common study space (no one hardly uses this, so it’s fine).
I have a separate task list for my study sessions, so I use those two main study sessions to complete them!
3:30 pm – 5:00 pm – Study Session 2 (still in the study room)
Still going through my study checklist – from assignment work to readings to watching lectures and creating study guides!

[IN BETWEEN]
So whenever you see “IN BETWEEN”, I do these things between my tasks. For example, when I do my laundry, I separate clothes after I finished my BLOG WORK, put clothes in the laundry machine after I finish my FREELANCE WORK, and put them in the dryer after I finish my STUDY. That’s why I don’t schedule chores like these at a specific time in my timetable.

[IN BETWEEN] – Laundry
5:15 pm – 6:15 pm – Life Admin Hour – Errands
Every week, I try to allocate a “Life Admin Hour” where I take care of life admin things (e.g. doctor appointments, shopping, etc). On this day, I had some errands to run which was great because I was stuck at home almost the whole day.
6:30 pm – 7 pm – Film Things
I love batch-creating my videos! They include YouTube videos (if they’re just the talking ones), the Instagram reels, and the TikToks. I like getting them done in one day, and I don’t have to worry about it anymore.
7:30 pm – 9:30 pm – Batched Tasks
These include all the tasks that would usually distract me, but I decide to set a time to do them all at once. They include:
- Emails (as much as I can)
- Messages (as much as I can)
- Social media engagement tasks
- Sometimes meetings and zoom calls fall under here as well! It goes day by day.
9:30pm – 10:00 pm – Dinner
I know health gurus will probably hate me for having dinner so late. But to be honest, I’m more of a mindful eater than someone who diets. I’m not usually hungry in the early evenings, and I only really eat when I’m hungry.
I’ve also meal prepped my dinner so all I have to do is heat the food up.
10:00pm -> sleep – Night Routine + Face Mask Day!
Then, I do my night routine where I settle down for the day! They include:
- Wrapping up the rest of the tasks
- 10-minute clean
- Organizing what I need for the next day (outfits, purses, etc)
- Skincare
- 2-minute journalling –better than yesterday’s exercise!
And on Mondays and Thursdays, they’re my face masks day!

TUESDAY
Everything up until 5 pm was the exact same as yesterday!
[IN BETWEEN] – House Clean
On Tuesdays, I do the general house cleaning. They include vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and basically anything that’s not the bathroom or kitchen (I have separate cleaning days for those!)
5:00 pm – 5:30 pm – Travel to Muay Thai
I’ll take the time to mention that I prefer podcasts over music while commuting! But when my brain is fried, or I feel like a song to pump me up, I’ll play songs.
5:30 pm – 6:30 pm – Muay Thai class
Muay Thai kickboxing is another one of my favorite workouts!
6:30 pm – 7 pm – Buy my reward + travel back home
After Muay Thai, I like to reward myself! Some days it’s bubble tea, other days its ice cream, or sometimes I go to the Asian store and try out some spicy noodles to cook at home! It depends on how I feel.
7 pm – 8 pm – Extra Learning Course
Outside of my course (law), I like to learn things for fun! At the moment, I’ve been going through a personal development course because it’s something I want to try. I usually schedule one hour a week to go through a couple of modules in the course.
In the past, I’ve done courses that have helped me with my blog, freelance writing, and even fun courses such as filmmaking. Having a study routine for your personal growth does exist!
8pm -> sleep – Batched tasks, Night Routine, + Hair Wash Day
Just like what I mentioned yesterday, I schedule a time to do my batched tasks.
Once those batched tasks are completed, it is my hair wash day, so I wash my hair!
Then, I kick off my night routine!

Wednesday
Wednesday is a bit different because it’s when I have a day of classes!
5:30am – 6:00am – Morning Routine
6:00am – 7:00am – Morning Walk
7:00am – 7:45am – Breakfast & Get Ready
7:45am – 8:30am – Batched Tasks
On Wednesdays, I do my batched tasks earlier in the day, since I have a smaller frame of time before my class starts.
8:30am – 9:00am – Walk to Campus
Depending on my mood, I’m listening to podcasts or songs.
9:00am – 10:30am – Class #1
And yes, all my classes are on campus!
10:45 am – 12:15 pm – Freelance Writing Work
Since I have a two-hour break until my next class, I use the time to do my freelance writing work. I don’t have any study sessions on Wednesday since they’re taken up my classes.
12:30 pm – 2:30 pm – Class #2
Then it’s my second and last class for the day (my classes are long this semester!).
2:45 pm – 4:15 pm – Freelance Writing Work Session 2 (at the university library)
Since I’m on campus already, I have another work session at the university library. Some Wednesdays I go straight home after class.
Again, I like switching environments to help with my work effectiveness. I also make sure I don’t do the things that ruin my work routine such as having distractions.
4:15 pm – 4:45 pm – Walk back home
Every Wednesday, the time I walk back from campus depends on whether I go straight home after class or stay back for more work sessions.
4:45 pm – 6:00 pm – Blog Work
On Wednesdays and Thursdays, I focus on monetization work and the business side of things. I also edit my YouTube video as well.
[IN BETWEEN] – Bathroom Cleaning
Wednesdays are for cleaning the bathroom! Since I’m on campus for most of the day, I do bathroom cleaning all in one go after my blog work.
6:00 pm – depends– Church
The reason why I say depends is that this time varies. But either way, after Church, I wrap up any extra tasks I need to complete (they’re usually very small), and then I kickstart my night routine!

Thursday
My schedule until 1:30 pm is the same as Monday and Tuesday’s schedule!
If you want to learn about how I keep productive, read this blog post.
[IN BETWEEN] – Kitchen Cleaning
1:30 pm – 2 pm – Walk to campus
Even though my only class is at 6:30 pm, I like doing most of my studying on campus already since it prevents distractions, and switches up my work environment.
2 pm – 5 pm – STUDY SESSION
Whether I’m in a café or the library, I get some study done!
5 pm – 6 pm – Batched tasks
While I’m still on campus, and still have extra time before class, I do some batched tasks so I don’t have to worry about doing too much once I get home.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Night Class!
This class gets tiring sometimes as it ends late HAHA.

FRIDAY
The schedule is the same as Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday! Except with my Blog Work, it’s my social media batching! I batch create my Instagram posts and TikToks.
5:15 pm – 6:15 pm – Life Admin Hour
Again, what I do in my Life Admin Hour depends on what I need to get done. On this day, I had a bunch of errands that I need to do. I love running errands because it allows me to get out of the house.
6:30 pm – 7:30 pm – Batched Tasks
Wrapping up all the batched tasks to get completed for the day!
7:30 pm – 8:30 pm – Self-Date!
I LOVE planning self-dates! Every week, I schedule a self-date where I get to do an activity I enjoy, and spend time in my own company. It’s been life-changing for me, and I have been able to build a great relationship with myself!
For today’s self-date, I ate dinner at a restaurant. I bought my book, and ordered some good food!
8:30 pm –> Sleep – Night Routine
Since I have church the next day, I relax and prepare myself for the next day 😊
SATURDAY
Non-Negotiable Rest Day/Non-Negotiable NO-WORK day
Every week, I have at least one non-negotiable rest day where I don’t do any work, study, or blog stuff. Since I have church on Saturdays, I make Saturdays my rest day. I don’t put a lot of pressure on myself to work. It’s one of the weekly habits that I do!
Also, since it’s scheduled, I don’t have to feel guilty about having this non-negotiable rest day.

SUNDAY
Sundays are usually flexible! Sometimes I have events to attend or catch up with friends. Since Sunday is one of my free days, there are different things that I could be doing every Sunday.
But here’s what I do every single week no matter what else I have going on.
Blog Stuff
On Sundays, I don’t do a lot of blog work. All I do is proofread my blog (which will be published that week) and plan out my posts for the following week. It’s not too much work, but still productive at the same time.
Weekly Reset & Meal Prepping
Sundays are for preparing myself for the week ahead! I do my weekly reset and my meal preparation!
In my weekly reset, I plan out my schedule, organize my tasks for the week, reflect, and set goals. It helps help me “get my life together”.
Self-Care Sunday Night
On Sunday nights, I like to do self-care! Most of the time, I take myself out to a restaurant, or sometimes I get takeout and watch a movie at home. It depends on how I feel. Either way, I want to feel relaxed and motivated for the week ahead.
And that’s a wrap!
I hope you enjoy reading about what a typical week looks like for me! I look forward to writing another one of these weeks in life again and comparing it to this one! It’s always fun looking back at how your life was previously.
But anyways, I’ve got some free resources you can use (that I use) to help stay productive throughout the week. You can check them out in the Free Resources Library which you can click here! It includes a Weekly Reset Mini Guide to help with your Sunday planning!
In the meantime, hope you have an AMAZING week ahead.
